1930s: Historical records from 1936 show the district operated separate school provisions, including elementary facilities for local Black students and a school covering grades one through eleven for white students.

Recent Decades: The district transitioned through various academic accountability milestones, earning an "A" rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in 2019 and 2022, and "B" ratings in subsequent years.

2022 Bond: Voters overwhelmingly approved a $131 million bond package in May 2022 to fund critical district growth and build a brand-new middle school.
